Digital Playmakers partnered with BKB™ to provide valuable senior marketing experience and additional resources to help take them to the next level. BKB™ has seen phenomenal growth over the past few years and we are pleased to be working with them to help further that progress by continuing to sellout events, upgrade their digital marketing presence and activities and introduce new revenue streams. 

BKB was launched to provide a professional platform for the sport of bare-knuckle boxing. BKB has now held over 30 sellout events all over the globe, drawing fighters from over 100 different countries. As its popularity continues to rise, BKB is now one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. We are proud to be on that journey with them!

The Deliverables

1. A Brand Facelift

The BKB™ brand needed up an upgrade. Its contrasting orange, black and white logo needed a professional branding and designer’s touch, alongside a set of brand guidelines to ensure that correct usage was applied across all areas of the business. As part of this project, we produced a brand new set of main, secondary and alternative logos, including icons and a new typography to match the aggressive combat sports style. 

2. A New Digital Marketing Strategy

With the owners doing a fantastic job of growing the business to date, the rapid expansion left a need for structure, organisation and senior marketing experience to ensure the growth remains sustainable. Starting with the production and execution of a brand new digital marketing strategy. Data capture and revenue generation is at the forefront of the strategy. BKB™ has benefited greatly from Digital Playmakers’ previous boxing-related experience.

3. E-Commerce Shop Launch

The new BKB™ shop was launched in collaboration with BKB’s web developers. Adding a brand new revenue stream to BKB’s P & L. With a number of complex integrations, the products can now be found across a number of marketing channels including Google Shopping and Facebook Marketplace. 

4. Data & Analytics

Prior to starting with Digital Playmakers, BKB™ had no marketing analytics or reporting. Therefore, we started from scratch and have implemented the complete suite of in-depth marketing analytics required of a modern organisation. 

5. Sponsorship and B2B Revenue Generation

BKB™now has comprehensive sponsorship offering. With the increasing popularity and awareness of the sport, there is a massive opportunity for savvy brands to get into the sports extremely passionate and loyal fanbase.

The Results

We are very pleased with the introduction of BKB™ 2.0. The brand looks contemporary and extremely professional. Worthy of an organisation that is dominating a rapidly growing and exciting new sports vertical.

BKB™, thanks to Digital Playmakers, is now able to accurately measure and report on all of its marketing and sales channels. Enabling them to make data-driven business decisions and ultimately continue to push themselves along the path of success.  

The marketing strategy continues to be implemented effectively and has resulted in a significant increase in monthly impressions and traffic across, SEO, social media and email marketing. In addition, BKB now has a centralised CRM database to effectively and efficiently deal with customers and leads.

Since the launch of BKB 2.0 the BKB merchandise shop has started to see significant growth. BKB’s marketing strategy now has a large B2C retail focus contained within, alongside its hugely successful events and ticketing revenue. The potential for this new sales channel looks extremely positive, paralleled only with the overall outlook for the company itself.
